Buying a new fly line and reel? Add some backing to your order so we can spool your reel and get you on the water ASAP.

Notes:

• This product only needs to be added to your cart if you are purchasing a reel at the same time.
• Select Left or Right hand wind based on which hand you wind the reel with. We will switch the reels drag to match. 

Backing is often overlooked. It's simple enough but you have to do it right. There's nothing worse than discovering your backing was not put on properly, during a fight with a fish of a lifetime... 

Add this to your cart and we will spool backing to your reel and line combination in-store before posting your order out to you. 

Recommendations

• 20lb Dacron - Typically used on smaller arbor reels in the 3-4wt range.
• 30lb Dacron - The go to size for standard reels in the 5-9wt range.
• 50lb Gel-Spun - Typically only need on large arbor saltwater reels when maximum capacity is required.
